About Us
An apple fed to a big gray horse, that’s when the dream started for an eight year old little girl. By the time I was 25 years old I already had horses in my blood for years and now I had two daughters, Megan and Lauren. They were 9 and 12 when they became addicted to the horse world. They spent the next ten years riding at a wonderful local farm. As the years went by, my childhood dream became theirs. It became obvious that this was going to be a life long passion.
I started to keep my eyes open and one day I found myself standing at the end of a long dirt driveway. What I saw was 60 acres of pure potential, at least in my eyes. With the love and support of my mother and father and a ton of vision, blood, sweat and tears Bit-O-Woods Farm was started. With the undying support from my parents, my girl’s energy and devotion from my son-in-law and husband, we were well on our way.
In 2000, Bit-O-Woods Farm opened its doors to share our dream. That’s what it’s all about!
